Paleis Soestdijk is een paleis aan de Amsterdamsestraatweg 1 in Baarn. Het is genoemd naar de Soestdijk waarlangs ook het buurtschap Soestdijk is ontstaan.Vanaf 1937 was het de residentie van prinses en later koningin Juliana en prins Bernhard. Sinds 1971 is het eigendom van de Staat der Nederlanden.GeschiedenisRond 1650 liet Cornelis de Graeff, de toenmalige burgemeester van Amsterdam aan de weg tussen Baarn en Soest (de Zoesdijc) een buitenverblijf bouwen: de Hofstede aen Zoestdijck. De Graeff was in de jaren 1655-1660 druk bezig, zo blijkt uit zijn te Soestdijk geschreven brieven aan de Staten-Generaal en Johan de Witt, met de opvoeding van Willem III van Oranje.In 1674 verkocht zijn zoon Jacob de hofstede Soestdijk met de omringende landerijen aan zijn jeugdvriend, nu stadhouder Willem III. De hofstede werd vermoedelijk tussen 1674 en 1678 in opdracht van Willem III uitgebouwd tot een jachtslot, ontworpen door Maurits Post, zoon van Pieter Post.
