Contructiebureau De Prouw is gestart in 1956, toen nog onder de naam Constructiebureau Van Eck en De Prouw in Bilthoven. In 1958 is het bureau verhuisd naar Driebergen-Rijsenburg, waarin 1962 de splitsing van Ingenieursbureau Van Eck en Constructiebureau H. de Prouw volgde. In 1975 is het kantoor binnen de gemeente Driebergen verhuisd naar de Jagersdreef. In november 1989 groeiden we uit onze behuizing en vonden een onderkomen in de gerestaureerde boerderij De Boeije aan de Vossegatsedijk te Bunnik, nabij het landgoed Amelisweerd. Eind 1995 is er een samenwerking gestart met Ingenieursbureau Starmans te Utrecht. Op 29 mei 1997 nam ook Ingenieursbureau Starmans haar intrek in De Boeije, wat heeft geleid tot een nog hechtere samenwerking. Ons bureau adviseert inzake bouwconstructies voor nieuwbouwprojecten, maar ook verbouwingen, renovaties en restauraties van monumenten. Daarbij verzorgen wij ook rapportages voor haalbaarheidsonderzoeken, opnames en schadeanalyses. Ons bureau adviseert opdrachtgevers, architecten en aannemers op het gebied van bouwconstructies. Wij verzorgen adviezen, berekeningen en tekeningen van uiteenlopende projecten voor nieuwbouw en verbouw. We zijn met name gespecialiseerd in renovatie en restauratie van monumenten. Daarbij hebben wij uitgebreide kennis op het gebied van geotechniek, zodat adviezen voor herstel van funderingen in combinatie met de overige constructie gelijktijdig uigevoerd kunnen worden. Ook onderzoek en monitoring kunnen wij verzorgen voor langlopende projecten.
